Reviews

I really enjoyed my one night stopover at Oxen Close Farm in my roof top tent after a few days greenlaning on the Dales and Fells. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the site facilities were excellent and spotless all of the time. Lovely large showers with plenty of hot water. A small site so really quiet with fantastic views all around. The hens wandering around were a pleasant addition. Will definitely revisit, thank you!

Just had our 2nd 5 night stay this year.As others have said the toilet block is first class and great views from the 5 large pitches. We didn't use our car but used the bus instead to Pateley Bridge ( plenty of walking routes) and also to Harrogate. The bus stop is near the pub ,The Waterloo, about 15 mins across fields from the site. There is a community shop and cafe in Darley with a really nice walk back along the river.

Loved this site set on a farm which is part of a curlew project. We awoke to the curlews evocative call each morning. There were also red kites, a kestrel and a barn owl quartering the fields. Some inquisitive hens visited us daily too. The site was quiet during our stay and the facilities were very clean and included a picnic table and washing line. Lovely views across the dale and walks available from the site. The owners are really helpful with advice on where to walk locally and they have baked goods on offer to buy. Would definitely return.
